The
Rayong province is known for its fine beaches tasty food
and delectable durians. About 220 kilometers from Bangkok, Rayong
offers a lot of sight-seeing and pleasure. Do not forget visit:
The King Taksin Shrine-commemorates the occasion when he was
rallying Thai fighters to liberate the country from Burmese
occupation. What Pa Pradu - main chapel houses a large reclining
Buddha, measuring 11.95 meters. Rayong City Pillar - highly
respected by town people, is located at the Lak Muang Road.
Originally the shrine housing the pillar was made of wood but
subsequently reconstructed in brick and mortar. Phra Buddha
Angkhirot - the principal Buddha image of Rayong. Hat Laem Charoen
& Hat Sang Chan - are 2 beaches connected as long line beach
and is located 5 kms. away from town to the south. Several nice
and very delicious seafood restaurants and cozy bungalow can
be found along this beaches. |

so far from Rayong you can get to Ban Phe< - busy fishing port
and center of local marineproduce. It is a stopping off points
for tourists en route to the island of Koh Samet. Shops in the
main street stock a wide variety of local products such
as fish souse, cuttle-fish, dried shrimp and shrimp paste. 30
minutes by shuttle boat from Ban Phe you are in Koh Samet which
offer beautiful beaches with charming white sand and strange-shaped
rocks, suitable for relaxation. |

climate is always pleasantly cool with abundant rains in August
and windy monsoons in May. Koh Samet is well-known in
Thailand as greatest poet based his most famous work, the story
of Phra Aphaimani. |

you go little bit more far, you can get to Trat - Thailand's
eastern-most province, about 400 kilometers from Bangkok. Hemmed
in by mountains, the Khao Banthat range severs as the natural
boundary with Cambodia. There are many islands and islets with

Laem Ngob Pier - main vessel at the cape's end you can
get to Mu Koh chang National Park, which consisting of 52 isles,
Koh Chang is the most important and biggest island (third
to Phuket). It is a peacefor and tranquil seaside destination.
Most mangificent beaches are on the island's western coast such
as Hat Khlong Son; Hat Sai Khao; Hat Khlong Phtrao; Hat Kai
Bae & Hat Bang Bao. There is a big waterfall called Than
Mayom, which is only 500 meters from national park office.
